Jared Mattson of The Mattson 2 wields Prisma's custom-designed Mattsonia model in their latest music video "Resolution." The song is part of their recently released homage to John Coltrane's 1965 masterpiece "A Love Supreme."
Nick Pourfard met the Mattson twins some years back in San Diego and was enamored by their unique aesthetic as well as their connection to the skating world. They'd play shows with legendary skaters such as Tommy Guerrero, Ray Barbee and Tony Alva. (Note: you can likely still catch any one of these guys in rotation at an upcoming show.)
At a live gig about five years ago, Nick presented drummer Jonathan a pair of sticks he'd made from recycled skateboard wood. They kept the conversation going, and years later, he and Jared started dreaming up what would become Prisma's Mattsonia model.
